WHO WE ARE
Ryan spent two decades as a technology industry entrepreneur. He sold his business ventures, retiring from the field to focus on family and other personal interests. Jennifer spent 10 years in the banking sector, serving in both the International Business and Treasury Management Divisions. Transitioning away from banking, she chose to prioritize her family and further pursue her passion for volunteer work.
In search of their next venture, Ryan and Jennifer knew they wanted to return to owning and managing a small family-run business. Discovering Coast Roast Coffee felt like an ideal fit. The desire to continue what Jane and Richard started over 30 years ago is at the forefront of all decision making. The legacy created with Coast Roast Coffee is something we work hard at continuing. We are excited that each day we work to expand and bring premium organic Coast Roast Coffee to loyal organic coffee lovers in the Bay Area and beyond.
OUR HISTORY
In 1991, Jane Healy and Richard Oppen embarked on their journey with Tomales Coast Roast. Their decision to embrace organic fair trade coffee was driven by a desire to offer a wholesome product while contributing to better living standards in coffee-growing regions. Juggling the responsibilities of raising their three daughters and nurturing their business, Jane and Richard steadily expanded over the years.
After dedicating 27 years to their business, Jane and Richard concluded it was time to step back and retire. They embarked on a search for new owners who would cherish and nurture their beloved coffee venture, just as they had done throughout the years. Their search led them to Ryan and Jennifer Lindsay. In May 2018, the Lindsays officially assumed ownership of Coast Roast Coffee, breathing new life into the enterprise.
